Updates and Troubleshooting

Updates

In Settings > Updates you can:

• Enable/disable automatic update checks
• Check for updates manually
• Refresh update state
• Download update when available
• Open updater config file

The status card shows:

• checking state
• up-to-date state
• update-available state with version + notes
• failed state with error details

Common Issues

App blocked by macOS

sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/LaunchNext.app

Import failed

• Confirm selected folder contains Data.store
• Confirm backup folder format is valid (LaunchNext_... .launchnext)
• Retry import and choose only needed sections first

Missing apps after source changes

• Re-open Settings > App Sources
• Verify custom paths still exist
• Refresh app data

Hotkey not working

• Re-record shortcut in Settings > Shortcuts
• Ensure shortcut includes modifiers
• Save and test again
